Reports over on the C4 side of things is that they are gone, nothing official but phones aren't being answered and their site is down. Can anyone confirm?
About 8 months ago, I needed some accessories for my Kwiklift. They NEVER once answered the phone. They did respond to email. One of the accessories I purchased was very poorly represented on the website. I bought the item and to their credit, they did take it back. However, a month went by and then I noticed my credit card was not reimbursed. I did contact them via email and it was taken care of. My perception is that they don't run their business very well.
Webpage is down. That sucks. That was my plan for summer...GET ONE.
Don't worry... by summer time, hopefully you can find one used... and for a lot less than what you would have paid for it new from Kwiklift. I have occasionally seen them for sale here on the forum, but they go fast. However, ultimately, the way I got mine is I trolled ebay for it. In my case, the seller was only an hour away.

They had a good thing going. Just not enough wrench turners around the house anymore. Now you need an I.T. guy to fix your car.
There are better alternatives for not much more cost. Why crawl around under the car when you can put the car higher in the air and sit on a seat instead?

What I like best about my KwikLift is that I can tear it down and stack it off to the side out of the way in about 10 minutes until those rare occasions that I need it.
Two and Four Post lifts are great if you have a massive garage, but I am not going to clutter up my 2-1/2 car garage with something I have to trip over and walk around every day for the 3-4 days a year I need to put the car up, plus my ceilings are too low for a hydraulic lift.

Not sure if this is a response to what I posted but this lift addresses all those issues. I too have a low ceiling garage and I do not want a lift permanently taking up space in it. It would take longer than 10min to take apart though.
I ordered one back in January, was told middle of February for delivery, called then and could not get an answer, emailed and got this response:
"We are still working out some issues with the material. We are looking at a few more weeks before we are ready to ship anything. We are very sorry for the delay.
Thanks
Mike"
I've been searching CL for a used one and have had a WTB post in parts since the first of the year and no luck yet. Sure do need something for my little garage!
"Due to drastically reduced sales over the past two to three years and rising fabrication cost we can no longer sustain. We have been unable to secure financing for continuation. Effective February 27, 2012 we are forced to close business. All future correspondence should be sent to Kwiklift, Po Box 2952, Broken arrow, OK 74013"
I am somewhat surprised we haven't seen a Chinese knock off at Harbor Freight for $695.00 by now. Guess they need all the steel they can get for their new skyscrapers.
I'm really surprised you guys don't buy USA made stuff I looked at all the offshore stuff and for a few $$$ more you can buy an american made hoist, I'm Canadian and bought from a USA company. I heard too many horror stories and even have pics of an 80 vette that was on a offshore lift that came down, no one hurt but the car.
