Build that one exactly as shown in real carbon and you'll sell every one you can make. I'll be your first customer in real carbon.

I would also buy one like the photo I posted above. Currently no one makes it cause it's just a Playstation 3 Gran Turismo 5 graphic you add to the virtual C5 Z06.

If it was a real part, I'm certain it would be a hot item Carbon Fiber or plain jane.

Not too get off subject but does GT5 have alot of C5 options because Forza 4 has hardly any.

Well it's enough to make me happy. Complete Suspension upgrades, transmission ratios, turbo's, superchargers, titanium exhuast, headers, body accessories, custom paint, custom wheels. PCM tune upgrade, intake filters, all sorts of stuff! Lighter chassis mods, carbon fiber hood. DIFFUSERS!

Oh, you can lower it on stock bolts!

It would be neat to see the underside of the car and maybe talk to the engineers about pros and cons of each though.

Underneath is most likely fully plated, if GT2 allows that.

I would imagine that it would be as well but I was wondering if they had anything that would channel the air.

That makes a big difference. That outside edge should follow the lines of the OEM bumper. I think rounding off the other diffusers would improve the overall look and still function.

Do you think it needs the vents in it for the Exhaust? It seems you would need it, that exhaust can is sitting close to the bumper and with no vents the heat could build up. Or it may not hurt a thing. Im sure someone here may have some knowledge of this if they have used one similar on a race car w/o vents. We could put two small vents on each side with Z06 screens. Someone photoshop one up.....

I dont think it gets all that hot as after a 2 hour trip my exhaust still isnt all that bad heat wise but I have long tubes without cats and Ti's so that may have some effect on it.

I guess one would have to drive with those vents masked off to see if there is any heat difference on the rear exhaust after a drive?

I am with AU N EGL.

I like this loook, however you make it, please please please do not make it look cheap or like a cosmetic POS.

I contacted this company and I think it was Blackdog Racing (but not 100% on that) and there didn't seem too interested in making a second one. But like AU N EGL, I downloaded these very same pics as a motivator. Unfortunately, no one ever made anything half-way decent. The BPP diffuser looks horrible. (IMHO) and it doesn't match well with the C5. Now, their C6 diffuser looks pretty radical, but how many Vette owners have center lined exhaust pipes.

Whatever you do, do NOT make any silly holes for exhaust pipes to stick through. Just use a concept like the C5-R, o rlike that poor photoshop attempt above on the red Vette. Straight, flush, fins, and make it curve underneath to be more useful. Oh, and lightweight.

Everyone has got to keep in mind, to have a fully functional you have to have the underneath of your car plated with channels.

"The book is called: "Race Car Aerodymanics: Designing for Speed" by the aforementioned Joseph Katz... I also have read it several times and realized that most rear diffusers are really for looks, not effect. Unless the entire underbody is given the aero treatment, the airflow under the car is too turbulent for a rear diffuser to have a noticeable effect. Most of the "supercars' that have effective rear diffuser aero also have flat bottom panels and mid engines. The mid engine design also makes doing the flat underbottom thing much easier from an engineering standpoint. The picture here is the Brian Glover Design "feeder" panels for the rear diffuser. I'm guessing this is about as good as you could do for a streetable car."

IF you want this fully fuctional...

Just thought Id make everyone aware

treating it as a rear belly pan would we see a drag reduction?

I could see myself tearing those channels off on the underside. Race track only I am assuming.

My assumption is that the less surface friction the better, but this also guides/channels the air flowing under the body feeding it to the diffusure, making it very efficient.
