I'm considering offering $14k and going from there...

Thoughts?

For me it would be worth between 16.5 - 17.5k.

Without the issues you mention, I'd say that the asking price is fair(at least in my region). Find out how much to get the mentioned replaced and repaired and use that as a bargaining chip. Doesn't hurt to start a little lower; you can always counter offer up, not down.

Looks like you got about the same options as my 99 that I bought 2 years ago (mine has the F45 suspension). I paid $19k for mine then, but it also included 4 new tires mounted on "thin spoke" wheels from a 2001.

Be careful.
When I was selling my 3000GT my asking price was $5000 (which was, at the time, easily the cheapest in the area on cars.com/autotrader, and the only 2nd gen under $7K with less than 80K miles).
Someone called and offered me $3000.... I hung up on him...I ended up getting close to my asking price less than 2 weeks later.
Offering 14K could definitely be insulting to him...

I'd say around $16K would be a fair price. You have to figure in $600+ for new tires + the HUD button replacement.

I mentioned that I thought market was around $16k on the test drive...he just put it on the market so he is holding out for more right now.

Borla exhaust systems are known for their 'drone.' It's music to the ears of some and a deal breaker for others.

Since it needs tires i would agree at $16,000 to $16,500 is a good price. If it had new tires and no other problems then its worth $17,500-$18,000 with those miles!

I'm guessing that he is hoping for $17,500.00 to $18,000.00. If I were the buyer I'd be trying for $17,000.00. Be sure to check the completed sales on Ebay to see what they are actually selling for.

I was thinking around 15K since it needs tires.
