Default ported throttle body

is it worth the gains to do the ported and polished throttle body. my mod right now is the vararam intake system and very soon once i get them the lg long tubes with xpipe....thanks 2003 Z06

i honestly don't think it will do all that much but some people swear by them... i guess if you can get one done right for cheap it might be worth a shot... i had one on my trans am a few years ago and it looked nice but i didn't really notice any difference... maybe on a dyno you would see a small gain but nothing that will peg you to the seat

and that is sorta what i am reading ..esp now that i am digging into this more as i search..

I have no direct experience but, the research I've seen indicated the porting would improve throttle response more so than HP....

Mine is ported, I noticed a big change is throttle response but have not dyno'ed yet to see if there is a HP gain.
