I will be leaving it on all the time.. there is still road debris and pitting happening in town as well as on the highway,so need to r & r all the time. for me anyway.
I to use a lingerie bra. They are easy to put on and take off. It is so light and flexible you could put it in your pocket. I don't use the mirror covers as I figure someone would just rip them off.

Despite the cost of a clear bra - it is definitely worth the money. I had XPEL clear bra pieces installed on my dd MINI Cooper S that I drive a winding canyon road littered with stone and sand debris from the sheer rock walls that are always dumping stones, sand and dirt on the roadway. When it's dark, you can see the constant shower of sand coming at you. The traffic is constant on this road so there is zero chance that your car will not be constantly sand-blasted by the debris. I drive 30 miles of this road twice a day and the front of my MINI is absolutely pristine except for the one chip I had before getting the clear bra installed.
A couple of weeks ago on the other highway I have to travel to work, Hwy. 5, I hit a huge road gator head-on after the car in front of me ran it over and slung it at me high-speed doing 75 mph. There were some ugly black hash marks on my front bumper so that gator would surely have damaged the paint were it not for the XPEL. When I washed the car afterwards, I had to scrub the marks quite a while with the XPEL cleaner before they came off - but they did. I'm positive the paint would not have withstood that battering.
I've had bras before and dirt and sand would inevitably work its way behind them and scratch the paint. As a temporary protector they're fine but I won't use them after having a clear bra. Any new car I buy going forward will get one of these. It's virtually invisible - no one notices it unless I point it out and it's much tougher than paint. Worth the money? Guess it's a personal decision.
Here are a few shots of the car with Xpel. I had it applied to the full hood, front bumper, headlights and mirrors.

Patches - Do have similar film on your C5s? Also, does the film cover the chrome grill trim on your Mini Cooper?

No I don't but, I have plans to add it this summer. My C5 is a weekend car only that I occassionally get out in fair weather so it hasn't seen much actionsince we moved to SoCal. My wife's C5 wasn't worth adding a clear bra too as it's black and the front fascia had battale scars from it's years of use that require a repaint before considering a bra.
I do not have clear film on the chrome on the Mini as the installer recommended against it saying it probably would not stick as well as the larger sections due to being so thin. He would have installed it if I had I wanted it but I deferred to his experience and it still looks great after over a year of commuting.

Be careful about leaving it on too long. Dirt can find it's way in betweem the bra and paint and act like sandpaper. Wind and rain can also cause this to happen. I would take the bra off each time the car is washed and clean it as well as the car. Keep the inside clean and keep the front of the Vette waxed to protect against grit. Good luck.
