A simple Holster mount for a C-5
Retired D.A. with 30+ years of experience.
FYRARMS quoted our law....
"(3) (a) A person who may lawfully possess a handgun may carry a handgun under the following circumstances without obtaining a permit and the handgun shall not be considered concealed:
(I) The handgun is in the possession of a person who is in a private automobile or in some other private means of conveyance and who carries the handgun for a legal use, including self-defense; or
(II) The handgun is in the possession of a person who is legally engaged in hunting activities within the state."
To "lawfully possess a handgun" in Colorado is pretty easy...be 21 and not fall into these categories..
"It is unlawful for any person convicted of a felony or conspiracy or attempt to commit a felony, or misdemeanor domestic violence or adjudicated delinquent for a felony to possess a firearm. It is unlawful for any person under 18 to possess a handgun, and it is unlawful to provide or permit a juvenile to possess a handgun."
And as a retired Navy Chief, I appreciate your service in that very prestigious gun club...prestigious is an understatement.

Again, as mentioned before...this may or may not work legally for you. I presented this for those who might be able to take advantage of it.
Jeff
It is very difficult if not impossible to see it from outside the vehicle even when no one is in the car. If someone is sitting in the driver's seat your leg completely blocks it from view.

Personally, I like the job the OP did on this mount. It appears to be very functional, which is exactly how it must be. If by chance you ever find yourself in a position where you need that thing, you'll need it RFN, not in the time it may take to retrieve it from the console, or from under the seat, or your concealed holster. My 30+ years experience wasn't as a DA but instead as a member of a very prestigious "gun club."

I guess its a heads up in a way but IMO people with CCL arent the ones you need to worry about.....

At least in UK, hand guns are banned (except for the hardened criminals). At least I can go out at night knowing I won't find anyone with a gun.

Even the "right hands" do bad things sometimes.
