I own a 1999 coupe, and for about 4 months have had my Low Coolant Light start to blink about 10 seconds after turning the ignition. I checked the coolant level and it was fine, (even added water) so I have been driving it about once every other week like I always do. I'm finally getting around to fixing it and I am very confused. I pulled the coolant reservoir and it was filthy inside, so I let it sit overnight with dawn dish soap and water in it; thoroughly cleaned out the soap and filled it with water as a test. The problem didn't go away, but what is even more peculiar is that when I unplugged the sensor with the car on, my dash light still said "Low Coolant"
Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking I might need to just buy a new reservoir... You can't buy the sensor alone, can you?
