I just repainted my 1999 c5 and after reassembly noticed that my left rear taillights were out. The left blinker flashes rapidly letting me know that something is wrong. My first thought was the bulb was out so I replaced the bulbs, with no results. I undoubtedly broke SOMETHING while taking the rear bumper off the car or during my prep work for paint. Any ideas on what I should check next? Electrical issues and I don't get along...
You get the hyperflash when the turn signal is out, but since you replaced the bulbs that's evidently not it. Do you have a meter to check voltage at the socket?
Chances are you didn't get one connector seated properly.
Find out which light soesn't work by watching at every corner while someone activates the turn signals.
Then pull that light out (the one that doesn't work) and check the connector going to that light. If it is tight, inspect the wiring for a broken area.
