OK, I finally got around to ordering a set of 4 jacking pucks form MAM (http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...arched=jacking puck), but I can't get them in. I can feel the little oblong holes, but the tab on the pucks seems to be a little to long to slip the tab into he slot in the car. What's the secret?

Ouch! $70 bucks? Not really sure why they won't fit. Do any fit? Would be strange if all didn't fit, unless they were the C6 pucks..not even sure if they are a different size.
If you have a Play it Again Sports up there...pick up 4 cheap hockey pucks, then head over to the hardware store and get some screw in eyes.... You should be out the door for everything for around $5 bucks or less.
Did you get the actual pucks or the puck that goes on the end of a hydraulic jack & the end just slides into the slot & not designed as an actual puck? (Lift plate).....that they also sell?
If indeed you bought the pucks, I would get in contact ww/ the manufacturer/seller that you bought them from.
Look like ones I made except I used eyebolts with nuts

Went to local Ice Hockey rink and bought 4 real hockey pucks.
Went to HD and bought 4 eyebolts w/machine threads and 4 nuts.
Drilled and countersunk underside so nuts wound up flush.
Total cost about $10. Keep them in small truck compartment so I can use them wherever I am.

Contact Mid-America and make sure you got the right things. If you did and they don't work, return them for a refund. What I bought for mine was some BMW jacking pucks - you can keep them in all the time and the shouldn't cost as much as you paid for those.
Not sure on the C5 models but for C6 anyway, the pucks are different for the coupes than the Z06 models so call MAM and make sure you got what you ordered. I dont have pucks for my C5 or C6's and i'm careful if i have to use a jack but every car should have a set just in case you get stuck somewhere and the local tire guy is a nimrod.
I got the BMW pucks & had problems with the instal trying by feel but when I got down low enough to see what I was doing no problem. I believe the tab is on an angle & you have to line it up to get into the slot & give it a twist to lock it in place. Have mine on now for over a yr & no issues. Good luck!
If you can't get em to fit then return em and get your money back, Personally I can't imagine paying money for these things anyway, A friend gave me 4 hockey pucks, I had some hardware laying around and made me a set for FREE. At the very least go out and buy you some hockey pucks (locally or on line) go to the hardware store and buy you some hardware and make you a set for about $20 or so.

What size eyebolts are those? I did not know I needed the pucks but will def make them myself.
You either got the wrong ones or you aren't installing them correctly. Mid Am has been selling these things for a long time.
But you should get some of the leave in place pucks anyway and they are less expensive. The leave in place pucks are a little tricky to snap in but if you get down there and take a peek, they snap in pretty easily.
Well, turned out to be a problem with operator. The pucks fit fine, you just have to angle them right to make them fit. Just took some time to figure out when you are doing everything by touch.

Thanks for all of the replies.
Glad you got it figured out. Same thing happened when I tried to install my leave in place pucks. Once I got down and looked it over they went right in.
