These octane posts are as ridiculous as the ones who ask can't I just use dino oil instead of synthetic. Sure you can, but you shouldnt and I think you already know that. As others have said, it's your car so put whatever you want in it, so you may save a few bucks now but you will pay later, or buy the best now and save a lot later. Come on man, you drive a Vette not an economy car, give me a break!

I conducted a test in my Vette with 87 vs 93 octane. I used a 128 mile route that I drove several times, with each octane. I gained enough MPG using 93 octane that it offset the price. This wasn't a highly scientific test, but it was enough to convince me to never use low octane in my Vette.
Also, low octane fuel can cause engine knock.

No 87 no arco.and if u decide to buy a new vette go ahead and put 87 then if some chance the motor fail and they run tests, if other than 91 is found your warrenty is void..it says premium for a reason
