I use 87 on both of my corvettes and never have issues.... Although if I am going to run it hard I will get the tank close to empty and fill her up with 93
One time I filled up with 87 by mistake. Out of habit with my pick up, I told the guy, "fill it with regular". Vette was a little rough when stopped, but otherwise I didn't notice any difference. I don't drive my Vette hard.

So your corvette ran rough when you were at idle on 87? Maybe the fuel had junk in it. There is not that much difference between 87 and 93..
You will get better burn at higher RPMs with 93... But the corvette can take 87 with no problems.. If your motor has high compression than I would say you need 92 or 93. BUT with all stock motors you really reap no real benefits and are just waisting your money..

I use only 93 octane gasoline until I can find the algae that Dear Leader wants me to use. I would also consider solar, but only if I can get a .gov loan.
