Have you noticed a difference between 87 and 91+ octane?

I thought the Owners Manual was just kidding?
The owners manual says 91 but you can use 87 you just "may" not get as good of acceleration.

....among other things down the road...

If it was an emergency..87 would get you out of trouble, but I'd stick with what your manual says to use.

I use 87 on both of my corvettes and never have issues.... Although if I am going to run it hard I will get the tank close to empty and fill her up with 93

Only 93 octane. I have always used the highest octane premium fuel available in every Corvette I have owned, 93 or higher.

93, but my car isn't stock. I'd use 95 or 97 if I could get it.

I can only get 91 around here so that's what I use. I wouldn't use 87 or any ethanol either.

One time I filled up with 87 by mistake. Out of habit with my pick up, I told the guy, "fill it with regular". Vette was a little rough when stopped, but otherwise I didn't notice any difference. I don't drive my Vette hard.

So your corvette ran rough when you were at idle on 87? Maybe the fuel had junk in it. There is not that much difference between 87 and 93..

You will get better burn at higher RPMs with 93... But the corvette can take 87 with no problems.. If your motor has high compression than I would say you need 92 or 93. BUT with all stock motors you really reap no real benefits and are just waisting your money..

From Day one I've used nothing but 93 minimum. I will not use anything less, especially with 11:1 compression and a supercharger.

93 for day to day use. Throw in a couple gallons of 100 when I spray the car.

All I've seen around here is 91 octane and that is what I use. But, in a pinch I'd use 89 octane.

I use only 93 octane gasoline until I can find the algae that Dear Leader wants me to use. I would also consider solar, but only if I can get a .gov loan.
