Does anyone know if OEM Speedlines, 2003 or older can be stripped, polished and clear coated to look similar to the 2004 commemorative wheels. If they are aluminum, which I believe they are, it should be possible. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Also - it's probably easier to just get the wheels powdercoated "chrome". This has a perfect polished look to it
True, but there is a difference between the two. I have chromed Speedlines (original owner put them on) but would much prefer polished aluminum. The look is slightly different, and polished aluminum wheels are easily repairable if scratched/scuffed.
yes. the 04 Z16 Z06 (commemorative edition Z06 has pollished speedline's from the factory). they come up everynow and again... i saw a set in the FS section a couple days ago. may want to check it out and just sell yours.
