How durable are chrome plated wheels?

I've had chrome Y2K's on 2 different C5's and didn't have any problems. It depends on the wheels in how you install your TPMS. If push comes to shove you can always put them on with bands.

I have a set of reproduction chrome C5 Z06 wheels that came on the car when it was new - 9+ years and they still look like new. As with anything on the car, the longevity of the chrome will depend on how well the wheels are taken care of. Keep them clean and waxed and they should last a long, long time.

How resistant are chromed wheels to stones? Do errant stones cause any dings at all? What about when stones get lodged between the caliper and wheel? That can really do a number on plain aluminum.
