Nope and yes it may.

You're tuned for 93, higher wont add any power. I would imagine you could tune for 116 (no idea on that) but the way your engine is built (if its stock) it will compress and fire 93 octane most efficiently, higher octane wont add any power.

I imagine you are referring to either C16 or Q16.. You cant run either one on a stock engine without damaging 02 sensors as well as cats. What is done to the engine now that made you think about running such a fuel?

Good question - don't know why a stock engine would need anywhere near that octane level. Plus, why pay for something that really won't help you out.

It's usually people that don't know much about gasoline or ANYTHING about octane ratings.

A stock engine is fine on 91-93 octane. Running too much octane will actually lose power.

If you were running hi-compression(12-15 to 1) and car was tuned for it it could be a benefit. On our engines it is not going to do much on the positive side.

the higher the octane the less energy is actually in each gallon. octane is just for anti knock. your power comes from being able to advance the timing without engine knock

Wasn't 100% certain,BUT was pretty sure that about the highest you could get in UNLEADED was 100 octane,,and that the op's numbers had to be leaded. For stock , about toe only real use even for 100 would be to mix a few gallons to a tank if all you had available was 91. Might be my imagination but seems to do a tinny bit better on 93,,so you might blend your own!
