Popped my "MOD CHERRY"
.I read all the posts about replacing the plugs, and I must admit that I was a little nervous. Aluminum heads stripping, etc. I started with the dreaded # 7 plug. Removed the air tube from the exhaust manifold and turned it and got it out of the way. Wrestled with the wire, tore it, tore off chunks from the boot, scraped my hands some. I must admit, it came out in about 10 minutes. Not to bad.
I go to my toolbox to get the plug socket, guess what? GONE!
WTF
No biggie, I realized I needed the anti seize and die electric grease. Go to the store buy everything.
Did the drivers side in 1 hour. Was getting late and didn't want to rush and screw up, so decided to leave the passenger side for another day. It's not like I drive it on weekdays anyway.
Put everything back together and started her up. Purred like a kitten.

Wednesday or Thursday hopefully I finish and all goes smooth.

By the way, plug #7 was fouled and smelled like gas.
Everything looked original to me. The metal boots didn't have any evidence that they were ever pulled off.
Thanks to everyone who posted tips on here. Looks like I got the difficult side out of the way.
I guess I got the "Mod Bug"!
Now, you slap a set of long tubes to go along with the plugs and wires, and then we're talking!

The slide down that slippery slope starts with the first little step.
To the OP, here is what happens next:
- You start hiding receipts from your spouse.
- You have all the account logins at the parts websites memorized.
- You get shakey when you see the UPS truck in the neighborhood.
