Default What do do?

My 03 C5 was loaded on a truck today and the previous owner stated that when they propped up the ramps with wooden blocks they touched the underside and now there are 4 very small scuff marks under the front. These are only noticable when under the car. He tooks pics and had the driver sign off of the scuffs.

My question is: when the car arrives tomorrow do I try to negotiate some money off the top of the balance I owe for the ride, or do I pursue an insurance claim against them? Again, he told me this was minor and may buff out.

Wait to see what the driver has to say when they offload the car. I would think that they would be scuffing the bottom again. You should get their insurance/agent/number/etc and the guy call them from your home to let them know that a claim is coming.

LOL, it will always BUFF OUT. Take a look at it. If it was me I'd have their insurance company fix it. The previous owner of my car scratched up the underside of the front nose. So, for now I touched it up. It looks pretty good and only I will be able to tell. However, it is one of the things I will eventually repair. I'm just that way. If it's not perfect I'm fixing it.

BTW - Check your front dam at the mounting point to make sure they didn't rip the screw out or scrap up the dam while your at it. They are only $100 to replace but, look like heck when torn up.

I agree with talking to the carrier's insurance company and get them to fix the car.

Keep in mind when repairing the rocker the entire thing will have to be refinished. I would take scuffs on the underside over a repaint any day of the week. Keep the finish oem. If you can get some money off them go for it, but I wouldn't pursue repairs if I were you.
