It is definitely worse on the C5. I did my "Daily-Zaino" detailing yesterday, drove to the gym and parked by a black BMW and a black Optima - both of them looked spotless, mine looked like a dust magnet and I only drove 5 blocks!

I use Zaino the past few years exclusively, but the only thing that ever ELIMINATED the dust clinging problem on the C5 was 5-Start Shine. That stuff is amazing - if you lay a towel on the hood it just slides to the floor. I could go for weeks and never see any dust. The downside is the car does not look as good as with wax or Zaino.

PS - The 5 Star Shine is also good for the "cat" problem. I watched the neighbor cat try to jump on my hood a few years ago when I tried the product and the cat just shot across the hood and flew off the other side into the bushes - surface was too slick for it to get a grab on it!

A static strap won't do it ether I tried that it's still on there but still get a fine dust on it , A duster is the way to go .Ron

Mine is outside all the time so it gets dusty. I'll use a California duster before I go out if it's dry. Also if it's going to rain I dust it before so it doesn't spot as bad, it's easier to get the dust before the rain sets it. I have a cover but seldom use it unless I'm going to be away for a while.

I plan on taking a couple minutes to dust my Corvette before I back out of the garage every time I drive it. This happens no matter how clean it was when I parked it. Clean, drive, enjoy. Repeat as necessary.
Absolutely essential!

Wow...I never thought your car gets dusty. It always looks perfect. Must be something caused by so many photos, but don't stop. We all love them

Static builds up bad on mine and the dust and pollen cling like reynolds wrap. When I roll the car cover off sometimes it feels like I'm being tazed. I've even seen the static sparks at night when putting the cover on. I dust the car some but it's back in no time. Luckily I break the corvette owners creed and drive it every day...even in the rain...washes the dust right off.
