I am in the minority. I like the c-5 body style alot and the zo-6
c-5 style. Would I go from a c-6 to a c-5 and lose all the horse-
power --sure the LS-1/6 engine can be modded to make alot more hp than a zo6 c-6. I have the car to prove it.

Performance is not that imporatnt to some people folks. I think most of you are looking at it from a performance stand point. If you go stricly on looks alone, the C5Z wins hands down.
If performance is what's important then it's the C6Z of course.

I still think the C6 "looks" like either the predecessor to the C5 or its little brother.
If I were buying a Corvette to go racing, then the C6 is a no-brainer (if budget allows), but for a sexy street cruiser where tons of extra horsepower only gets you bragging-rights (or speeding tickets and higher insurance rates or loss of license altogether), then IMO the C5 is the winner.
I have owned every generation Corvette since 1971 and any time a new design was released I immediately lusted after one (and bought one or more) until the introduction of the C6. It is a really nice car, but just does not have the sex appeal I expected. I rarely even notice them on the street as they look like so many other brands, but the C5 jumps out as unique.
If they came out with a NEW C5 next year with all the upgrades in the C6 - I would be in the market.

I went from a blown 03 z06, very nicely modded.(thought Id upgrade) to a 07 z06 cammed,modded etc. DID NOT LIKE THAT CAR!! dont get me wrong, the c6z is a bad car, I just didnt like it. interior smaller, and crappy. wasnt as fun,( not as balanced as c5z) to drive. I now, again own a
04 z16/z06 highly modded,(550+rwhp) widebody z06(TPE fenders,CCW wheels). VERY HAPPY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well,,,there IS the LS7 crate motor
!! Being just an out and out car nut,,I can see both sides of the coin. Would't throw rocks at either! At 6'2"and 240,, I'd have to spend some time in and around a C6 to make the decision!! I AM a little spoiled by the room of the C5!!!
