Are you sure is not mandatory use the slip lock when using AMSOIL 75W90 sor the rear back replacement?

If you read the AMSOIL site says:

AMSOIL Severe Gear is compatible with most limited-slip differentials. If limited-slip differential chatter occurs, add AMSOIL Slip-Lock™ friction modifier additive.

It means that in case our LSD runs properly is not neccesary to put the Slip-Lock, isn't it?

This is what Subdriver (Brad) said to me about the slip-lock...

The Severe Gear 75w90 comes with friction modifier already in it and extra is not normally needed for the C5/C5 Z06 to prevent diff chatter. I don't use extra in my 02 Z06 and don't have diff chatter. Toque opted to put extra in which won't harm the diff, but may result in the limited slip diff losing a few ft-lb of torque to the tire with grip. I recommend not putting the additive in and seeing if you have diff chatter. If the diff does chatter, the additive can be squirted into a full diff - only a few ounces would be needed and the tube has a long snout on it. Most C5 owner's don't bother to buy the additive.
I opted not to use it when I changed fluids.

I got the AMSOIL Torque Drive and the gear oil from Sub Driver. I specifically asked him about the limited slip additive and he recommended against it. By the way, he provides great service!

Any way, I changed the fluids a couple of k miles ago and I haven't had any chatter from the LSD. It's happy, so I'm happy. The M12 seems to be happy too. It shifts like butter, hot, or cold.
