c5 fuel filter
i know this subject has been discussed inumeral times, however, i sure would like advice from someone who has already been there, done that.
where is it and what's the best route to go to replace it ? thanx

It sucks. It's drivers side rear up above the exhaust pipe. Tricky to get to. You will get gas on you. The connector needs the right tool but I think I released mine by the hand. If a cat back exhaust or clutch is in your near future then is the optimal time to do it. At least it's not in the tank like some years

With a stock exhaust, its easy to access. Just above the left pipe in the rear of the car. easy to see. As already stated, you need a special tool which is just a plastic collar type thing to release the quick-disconnect. You can get them anywhere as a set of different sizes and cheap.

Save yourself the trouble...do like I did, Buy the gas filter and try your local shop with a lift and say....I need this filter replaced and will you do it for $20. My local muffler shop did it in 10 minutes.
