The car in front of me hit his brakes because someone pulled out in front of him. I hit mine pretty hard but had room to just change lanes. When I hit the gas the car acted as if it were in neutral.
It revved, but went no where. Then it engaged and took off. Any clue what happened? It acted as if it were low on fluid. Of course not having a dipstick means a quick check could not be done.
Not right, I would contact a reputable transmission shop or GM store and ask
them, in my experience "anything odd" that occurs with an auto transmission is going to be transmission failure. Just a matter of time. Good luck, and let us know. Rob

Does sound like a tranny problem, but hard to say exactly what the issue may be. I'd also recommend getting it checked out by a good transmission shop.
