Relax, all will be well. lol. I have one installed and dont recall my first impressions that well. But I can share with you the fact that it takes some time to break in and is stiff, in the end I think you will love it. Nothing to screw up in the install, just plug and play. Now go to bed and have a good sleep. lol. Greeting's Rob
Yes, the MGW will loosen up a bit thru time. If still a bit too notchy for you, do the anti-venom mod and you can get it to the desired comfort level. Just did mine and it's better than ever.
Just installed mine Easter weekend, only had time for a couple quick runs (got the flu, just now recovering) but I did notice that the gates are very close to each other compared to the stock shifter. Once you get under way though they are easy to find. it is very tight at first also, but got better on my second quick jaunt. Looking forward to many precise shifts in the days to come. You will have fun, enjoy!

That can be helpful and I did it to mine.
One word of caution though; there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. IOW, don't go overboard with shim/washer thickness. Personally I kept my total washer thickness to UNDER .090". I used two Dorman copper washers but the individual thickness was not enough and the combined thickness was too much, so I sanded each one down on a flat surface and finally wound up with a combined thickness of .082". Worked great.

Is there anything that can go wrong with the Antivenom mod?
