Default The Wave

So, I went for a short ride tonight in my 04 vert. Met a C6 and made sure to give him the Wave. He stared at me like I was a criminal and kept going. I thought we were all friends! Maybe he had a bad day.

Keep waving, it is a good thing! Most get it after a while. Those that don't are just missing out. I wave at Vettes from my truck, get many returned because they know what the Wave means!

I usually will wave to any corvette owner who is looking my way when they pass by. 75% of the time I get the wave back. Sometimes I forget to wave back at those who wave at me just because I see them last second. There are those select few who will look at you like you are strange when you wave...

I wave at other sports cars too. Trouble is there are so many Porsches around here my arm gets tired.

Don't let it bother you. Some owners have no clue what the wave is even all about. Just keep doing your part and you'll get your share of waves back.

C6 guys are the least likely to wave, especially the Z06 types.

I have come to the conclusion that not all people, Vette owners are aware of the WAVE!

I just keep going giving them the benefit of the doubt! And if they have a attitude then I'll smoke'em with my '98 C5

Thanks,Matt

Seems to be about 50/50 around here. I will have to admit, C6 owners are the less likely to wave. C3,4, and 5 owners are pretty faithful.

I think the only "non wave" encounters I've had are when I see them and it was too late for them to see me.

people seem to take non waves wayy to personally...then start making assumptions about why they didint wave, IMO who cares. I personally have waved a few times. most of those times, i never get waves back. So i pretty much stopped. I ve even had some wave at me first and i ignore it LOL i dont feel bad about it at all.

If some Vette owners don't get a return wave, it bugs them so much they make a thread about it. LOL! I will return the wave if someone waves at me, but there are SO many Vettes around Chicagoland. I am busy steering, shifting, and dodging traffic. Forgive me if I didn't notice one of the gazillion other Vettes on the road waving at me.

Not a lot of vettes in rural South Carolina but enough to wave on a regular basis and I get waves back about 80% of the time. Most owners around me are 30+ guys and gals driving c3, c4, c5 cars and have been schooled on the wave. I get return waves from c6's if they have gray in their hair ir if I know them already. The rest usually don't wave.
I do have a theory about some young drivers not waving....SOME young drivers. I think if you are paying or paid for your vette you are more likely to wave than if daddy owns it or bought it for you.

Try it without the middle finger, see if that helps.
