drove a 2011 yesterday. Have a 2004 now. After drive I must of sat for about 45 minutes trying to decide if I really liked it or not. Had them parked side by side. The older won the nod hands down. Just can't say I like the rear end of the new ones. Had a good steak supper with the money I saved.
If I wanted a C6 I would wait until the C7 comes out, be better deals then. I'm thinking on a C6 as DD when I fully retire in about 8 to 10 years. maybe then I can afford one and I know there will be nice low mile examples out there. Always is. But I'm keeping my FRC.
I've let so many rare cars get away from me in years past I vowed not to do it with my 99 FRC.
On a side note, I'm not totally sold on the C6. I know they are very nice cars but the interior is just too common place. Even the C5 is better with all the options we have to dress it up. But that's just my opinion.

The only reason I moved from my modded C5, was to move to a C6Z , used ...could not pass it up for about 41k with 12k miles on it. The only sacrifice I made was the removable top, but the power of the Z out of the box and performance makes up for it.
I've never been a fan of the base C6..the GS is not bad and is selling very well. All in all , yea I don't think over all the C6 is a HUGE improvement over the C5, other than just looking at LS3 vs. LS1 , there is a big amount of difference in the motors performance wise.
Rode in my buddies blown 98 C5 coupe this weekend, and I still miss the C5 looks and sound of the blower, headers etc.. I would have kept mine if I could have afforded it.

I still think you did well, because the C6Z seems to be the only C6 holding its value in the used market, which as we all know, is not the best currently.

its a great car really , if one doesn't mind buying used with low miles it's hard to beat bang for buck on a used c6z

I had an almost identical experience when I was in the buying process of my '02Z, except it didn't take me 45 minutes!
I still like the body style of the C5 better than C6. I like the HPs of the C6. If, wish, someday, maybe, hopefully, I'll get some more HPs for my C5 and fix up seats and interior goodies, or just sell and get out of the corvette thing all together. I don't think I will end up buying a C6 or C7 or newer than C5. Depends if I hit the lotto.
I agree the base C6 is a little bland, but I'm sure my next Vette will be a Grand Sport. I cruised with a twin turbo GS last year on the HRPT and fell in love.
