I just had the same clutch put in over the weekend. Did you get to drive yours yet? Mine has the grab point at exactly the same spot as old clutch had. Very weird I never had that before. All new clutches I've had done where right off the floor not at top of stroke.
Not yet had some tuning problems hopefully this Friday
Chiming in on these two posts... I'm soon to be going with an LS7... this is the stuff I wanted to hear
On the research I've done, the LS7 is a bargain compared to other clutches I looked at.
I would have to agree the LS7 clutch has been get so far I put it through some tough driving and its great. It is amazing the difference though in stiffness between my DD M6 Z28 and my Zo6 with the LS7 and B&M ripper shifter. The LS7 clutch will hold (from what im told) up to 500 wrhp but my friend has a 08Z with a ECS supercharger making 613/600 and its holding it fine
I replaced a stocker at approx 25K mileson a 06 LS2.... not bad but was adding some rwhp and I thought I felt some chatter at take off.
Installer has done hundreds of Vette clutches.
5,000 Miles Later and I can't wait to get this expensive stage one piece of crap out of my mix... My stocker LS2 Z51 put this thing to shame relative to smoothness and 'smell.'
I'm considering the LS7 package. WOULD LOVE to be persuaded I should mate the TR 56 to something else somewhat comparable and smooth. Car has less than 500 rwhp. Has MGW Shifter and Replaced Syn Fluid to assist the stock tranny..
I've heard some good info about the Mantic?????? Never ridden with one though..
Do normal folks and manufacturers (besides the brand I chose balance these components?) Do tell..... (Nice topic) I'd like to have my stuff replaced before long...

LS7 clutch and flywheel is what I went with, feels like stock but can hold more then stock LS6 clutch
i agree and disagree. i destroyed my LS7 clutch/LS2 flywheel in 7k miles, but i also drive my vette harder than most. i made 440 at the wheels and occasionally threw a 150 shot at it.
if you don't drive your car TOO hard all the time, the LS7 will be fine
Whatever you do.. don't fall for the "flavor of the week". I've never even heard of Mantic... The GM LS7 clutch is tried and tested. It will hold 410 rwhp all day long and drive as close to stock as you can expect.
One more vote for the LS7. I don't want any difference in pedal feel, and the price is right. Plus they warranty it for that much power in the C6Z, so you know it will hold up.
480 RWHP, stock LS6 clutch, so far so good but only 2K miles on it with since the blower install. Looking for 550 RWHP soon. How about a ZR1 clutch, will it fit in a C5Z?

Thanks for all the recent feedback folks! I fell for the flavor of the week by supporting 'bla' from that manufacturer (really.....).... and salesperson echo.....
LS7 seems best bargain for me / my simple driving needs - but I remain concerned about balance and weight and intrigued by the Fidanza and a total balance. I don't want to afford a t56 upgrade this year...
