So, I'll chime in: I use a silicone blade (with paper towel or cloth to periodically wipe the blade) to remove most of the water. Then I use an electric leaf blower to blast away the remaining amount. Anything left gets wiped off with a terry towel.
so I'm not the only leaf blower guy........I follow it up with Meguiars. I just wish I could get the inside of the windshield streak free.
To dry car use yellow microfiber towels from Costco, great value. Remove label on each towel as they can scratch paint.
For finish Rejex works great.
I love Rejex! To dry I use "the absorber" found at O"Reilly Auto parts. Kinda like a sham wow.. Works great if you don't want to spend the money on a Blow dry machine.

I use Meguires, but after picking up my fenders from a body shop, and watched them use the 3m products on it, and how it turned out, I think I will give 3m a try.
Meguires Mirror Glaze line for me. After a good washing and claybar session, I like the Show Care Glaze and then the HiTech Carnuba as a followup.
Appears to be a great combo..........

The context of that statement was after using #7 Show Car Glaze on black paint, most waxes would decrease D.O.I. while M26 would actually increase D.O.I.
I asked a chemist friend about this and he said it was because M26 has/had the ability to bend light. Maybe one of our engineering type people can explain how that would work...
D.O.I. = Distinction of Image
The ability of a surface to reflect an image clearly. A mirror offers 100% D.O.I.

Heck no!! I use my RedMax Backpack. I open both doors and take care of the inside too!! Just make sure nothing you like is laying around!!
I've used many auto paint wax products over many, many years with generally very good results. However, last year I was at a car show and saw a custom rod with the best totally deep and scratchless paint job I've ever seen. I didn't ask how much the paint job cost, but I would hazard it was about a $8k -12K job ... maybe more. It was truly amazing in every respect.
I asked about care and waxing and how he avoided even the slightest hint of swirl marks. He handed me a bottle of a Mequiars Ultimate Quik Wax and said, "This is my secret."
He said he uses various other cleaners and wax products only once a year. Then, weekly, he just dusts off the car and then uses Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax. He said the stuff is the most most amazing product he has ever used on any of his show cars and personal cars.
I researched it on line, found a number of great reviews by car care professionals and have used it ever since.
Here is the PR blurb on this product:
"Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax features Meguiars Hydrophobic Polymer Technology to give your vehicle’s paint unparalleled protection and gloss. The polymer-based spray wax can be applied in direct sunlight on hot surfaces with no streaking or white residues. Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax offers the longest lasting protection available in a spray wax from Meguiars!"
The biggest surprise I have found is that the guy who introduced me to it wasn't exaggerating at all. This product almost completely eliminates light swirl marks to an amazing degree that far away surpasses any other quick spray detail wax I've ever used. At first I used it just to detail the car after driving it to a show. Now I use it as the only car paint care product. I will strip clean and wax as needed, but so far after 8 months it is simply not needed.
People constantly say to me. "I can't believe this is a 10 year old paint job. It looks better than show room new." It does and it only takes one hour a week of light wiping with Ultimate Quik Wax.
... and no, I don't work in the auto products industries in any way.
Based on the above I bought a container of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax yesterday and tried it out today. I was not that impressed with it. I've been using Meguiars Quik Detailer for a number of years. What I found was that when compared to the Quik Detailer the Ultimate Quik Wax required much more buffing to completely remove. It also seemed to leave a little bit of a greasy residue behind that was difficult to completely remove. I did one side of the hood and trunk lid with Ultimate Quik Wax and the other side with the Quik Detailer. I saw no difference in the depth of color, shine or gloss. The only difference was that the Quik Detailer requires less effort to use and doesn't leave any greasy residue behind.
Just another opinion.
