I couldn't get the cruise to work today. I checked the fuse and its good. Does the traction control have to be off for cruise to work?
Not that I use it that much but I like everything to work properly.

The cruise control will work with traction control on. Could you perhaps have a brake switch that is stuck or a stop lamp switch that is stuck? Just throwing out some guesses.
As posted earlier, the most likely cause is either one of the switches on the brake or clutch pedal. They just have plastic retainers that snap in and can back out pretty easily. Try lifting up on either pedal with the top of your foot and see if that lets you engage cruise.
Sounds like you need to pull off the plastic cover and check them out.
