Has anyone had their rocking/sliding seats repaired by a shop? What should I expect to pay for this fix?
If you lived close to dallas i would say come over and we could do them in tandem as mine need to be done also.....weird thing is my have stopped rocking now for almost 4 weeks. Maybe longer but i noticed it first 4 weeks ago
There are a couple of good write ups, and most with pics.
I have been driving my '98 as a DD for 9 years, and I decided I would
miss the slide. I am so used to it, can't bring myself to fix it.

Easy fix. If you buy the nylon washers instead of the expensive kits you save some cash. Only drawback is grinding the washers down to fit. I've done three so far and its one of the simple repairs
Go to the Tech section....go to the top of the page "stickys" and click
"Ultimate DIT/FAQ thread". There's a great write-up with step by step instructions and pictures.
