Default That was strange!

Leaving floor hockey tonight, about 20 mins ago... I pull onto road and coast in 1st to the red light and it turns green. I get on it pretty hard and hit 2nd and get on it.
This is where it got weird...everything was fine, traction control on etc etc and in 2nd gear it was trying to cut the fuel out but couldnt seem to override it completely as it seemed to fuel/de-fuel/fuel/de-fuel for a couple seconds..
Then every light on the dash flashed on/off and the DIC flashed "---------------", I let of completely as it started this and it was like the engine was running but only at ~200rpm, making a weird noise. Id say about 5seconds later she came back to life, the security light stayed on on dash.
I stopped down the street at a convenience store, turned off, grabbed a shake and came back with no issues.

Anyone elses HUD always default back to Oil Pressure? I usually keep mine on Fuel but it doesnt seem to stay....

I can't help with the other stuff, but the HUD will default to oil pressure if the voltage drops too low from the battery. That starts to happen when the battery is weak and drops below the limit during start. As for all your other symptoms, I would check the connections at the battery and also on the red wire at the starter solenoid. If you find loose or corroded wires or connections, you may have just solved all your problems.

Certainly sounds like the battery connection was briefly opened. I'd be checking the battery cables AND the cables at the starter solenoid since this is where most of the electrical comes together.

Just got car on road last weekend, the battery was toast so I got a free replacement on tuesday. But I do agree, it does sound like a battery issue to me as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot about checking codes. Ill take a look today. Thanks!

Any pics of location? Or should I say detailed pics? I have had my headlights off and never seen one where it's pointing to. Same with the front tire

Even though you clear it from the menu itself when your in the "TCS has 1 code - C1241" menu does it clear or come back or you haven't cleared it yet?

No I didnt clear the codes yet, I was gonna wait to look them up first but Ive been busy all day working on the truck and havent had the time.

I might ditch the liquid/water battery for the gel/agm style like I had before...Not a fan of the water ones.
Another thing all of a sudden is the goddamn pop-ups dont like to come up, flick the switch a few times, wait a few minutes and theyll go up

I wonder if these little things are gonna keep coming....

Probably. Unless you have one of those special cars that interrupt space/time and actually become newer as years goes by.
