Hi all, I have a garmin 265wt and like most people I suspect, absolutely hate the suction cup (non) holder that will not stay adhered to the windshield. Has anyone come up with a good holder for the gps for the c-5? Any and all help welcomed.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1690 and the suction cup has never failed on it. I moisten the suction side before placing it on the windshield and I think that helps.
I do have some Word files made up of posts from here on the forum that shows various options for mounting a GPS unit in the car. If you'd like a copy, PM me your e-mail address.

The best I've seen so far is to switch to the Kenwood single-din radio that has a pop-out screen for DVD viewing and the optional GPS package. No suction cup needed.

I have the same Garmin GPS and I never liked mounting it on the windshield so I found the suction cup fits exactly on the clock face.
Yeh, it really does but then you lose that function so I bought a clip that fits the center AC vent.
That works OK but then it blocks some of the cool air so pick your poison.
I have the same and I wraped the excess cord around the base of the suction cup to take up any slack and then shoved it in the cup holder and it is a perfect fit stays in place unless you really nail it.
