CupHolder observation
I know there's been lots of discussions about the cup holder on our C5, but I had an 'interesting' experience. I had a bottle of iced tea in the holder, and when I turned into my driveway, I tried to downshift the Snapple...nothing happened.

No, because in my initial post, for the sake of brevity, I used the term Snapple. It was actually Nantucket Nectar Orange/Mango.

Look at the bright side - at least the bottle didn't fall out of the cupholder and all over the passenger floorboard.

Actually, I could cut the bottom off a longneck, then fill it with epoxy putty,
then thread it.....

I think there is a tech bulletin about this. I had it happen to me with a bottle of Starbucks (mine's an automatic) going from D to P.
