Default Could use some help with remote.

After a long winter's hibernation, I've recently been driving the vette to work daily. At one point the car's battery had lost charge so I recharged and has worked fine since. Howeer, around the same time, I noticed the remote stopped working so got a new battery for it. It still doesn't work. Is there a procedure that has to happen whenever the car's battery dies so that it recognizes the remote?

I appreciate the the help.

Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons for about 8 seconds to resync the key fob, The horn should chirp to confirm.

If that doesnt work then..

1. Turn ignition on.
2. Turn radio off.
3. Press DIC RESET button.
4. Press OPTIONS until display is blank.
5. Press and hold RESET for 3 seconds.
6. Press OPTIONS until FOB TRAINING displayed.
7. Press RESET to begin programming sequence.
8. Simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on
fob for 13 seconds. Message will appear on DIC when remote is
programmed.
9. Turn ignition off and remove key.
