I'm posting this for a good freind who just bought a 2001 Z with the older style Pfadt Coilover's. When we picked the car up it was lowered to the point that with the roads around here in Southwestern Louisiana it would drag on just about everything. The car drove and rode great but was just to low so we raised the car up and that is when our problem started.
With the car lowered the rear suspension was very quite and now that it has been raised every bump in the road brings a distinct thumping noise. We have checked everything under the rear of the car had the rear shocks off more then once to make sure they were setup to what we think are Pfadt specs. They are the earlier style coilover's with the rebound adjustment on top of the shock.
Today I drove the car and the owner crawled into the back of the car (he's a small person) and where the hole is cut in the floor for the rebound adjustment he said the noise is coming from the shock.
So has anyone running the older style Pfadt's had this kind of problem ? Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks !

So we responded to your other thread as well, but it's likely that the upper mount needs some attention. Remove the upper nut, apply a dab of low strength loctite and torque to 75 Inch pounds (about 7 ft/lbs). Let the Loctite setup and you should be good to go again!
If you have any issues please let us know. Take some photos of the upper mounts and send them over to info@pfadtracing.com and we can take a look at what you've got.
