Looks like my C5 is going to have to get a new windshield. I've read posts about problems with hud cars and aftermarket hud windshields creating a double image and other problems like that. The glass on my car now as far as I know is OEM but I wasn't the original owner. Can someone check to see if they have the same? In the lower passenger's side corner there's glass information, the company name I have is APTech, logo has a large "AP" and a small "TECH" next to it. Just trying to make sure I get the right glass. If that's not the OEM glass for some reason, then maybe we've found an aftermarket glass source that's ok with hud, mine works fine with the glass I have now. (Unless I just don't know what I'm missing of course!)
If you have a coupe, you need to make sure the replacement glass has the antenna built in. The HUD will work with non HUD windshields if you need to do that, I can't tell any difference. If you have a convertible or Z06, or FRC, the antenna is not in the glass.

Thanks!
I had my HUD windshield replaced several months ago (rock chip thrown up by speeding truck). The glass shop was amazed the replacement HUD window was right at $1000, insurance paid the whole thing.
Get you some nice new wiper blades and it'll be just like looking out the window of a brand new car!

Ah
Thanks! That's a very important thing also. I guess there were as many as 4 different types glass used in C5 windshields. It is a coupe, I called my glass person back and made sure he was aware of both the hud and radio antenna as being options and that I need glass with both.
