Hi everyone I have a c5 Corvette and I have the eibach r2 coilovers and I put them on my Corvette with the leaf spring out and realized quickly the the spring ratewas way too soft to support a functional ride height. The car is currently sitting at my friends shop and is inoperable. The most unfortunate part of this is it is my only vehicle. I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem and if so how did they fix it without putting the leaf springs on. I am currently looking at other spring rate and was wondering what spring rate people might recommend to solve this problem. I was looking at going with a 525 in the front and a 650 in the rear. I contacted eibach with my problem and they were no help. I was really hoping someone here could help me. The sooner the better because I need to get my car drivable again as soon as possible and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you guys for your help. It took me countless hours (i really do mean countless considering i have been trying to do this since monday) on the phone and internet to finally have someone give me the time of day and actually help me with my problems. I ran in to companies with horrible customer service along my journey to figure out this problem and i only seemed to run into two companies that actualluy gave me some significant help. I would highly recomend everyone and anyone to contact hypercoil and also van steel with any suspension related questions they may have. They gave me so much help and taugh me so many things that i needed to know to actually make the system work the way i wanted to. I know this system was desinged to work with the coilovers and leaf springs both on the car but to me it didn't seem like a good choice because you have two very independent suspesion sytems trying to work together. i finally managed to order some coils today to fix my problem and i am very appreciative to those people that helped me out. Thank you all once again.
