Question for you guys that know these cars. I'm new to the Vette world and recently purchased a 2002 convertible. Car only has 59K miles and was a garage queen. Bought the car with the oil gauge pegged out and the DIC reading 130psi (even when the car was off) Replaced the oil pressure sensor (OPS) and all worked fine, for 30 days. Now it pegged out again and the DIC is 130psi. No low pressure warnings on the LED display or lights. Care runs fine. My question....did I just get a faulty replacement OPS or can my stepper motor be bad on the cluster?
I've had a version of this printed and in my glove box for years. It does come in handy when the "check engine" light comes on and you're trying not to freak out to much. Just pull over, pull the codes, find out it's nothing serious, and put the pedal to the metal!
I just bought a low-mileage 2003 with the original EMT tires still on it (GY Eagle F1's). Lots of tread. I've noticed it is very sensitive to rutted road surfaces -- it darts both ways. Really have to watch it closely. But it drives very well on smooth road surfaces. Is this typical of old EMT tires or does this sound like something else? Any help will be appreciated.

I also have a 2003 VERT with the original run flat tires on her with just 14,000 miles on the tires. But I don't have any of the issues you are experiencing. Since these tires are now 10 years old, I've decided to replace them with non-run flats and have just ordered the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires from tire rack. I want a smoother, quiter ride and these tires got great write-ups from virtually everybody. My car is a cruizer and not a weekend track car so I suspect these tires will be great for me --- as long as I don't get a flat. Also, at 10 years old, I was starting to feel these tires were no longer safe due to their age --- although they look perfect and new with lots of thread still on these tires ---- who knows how long tires are safe when there is still low milage on them.
