I'm on Doug rippie Motorsports ready to pull the trigger on what seem to be some high quality wheels spacers, when choosing the sizing option I noticed the 5/8 went up in price another hindered dollars, I realize for larger spacers there is an extra lip of metal to help them fit correctly and I know I shouldn't be worrying about the price if I want to do things to my vette but I thought it would be much less, is this just cause I'm in need of such a large spacer or is it just rippie Motorsports. Any other suggestion of places I may be able to get spacers for better price would be apreciated! Thanks Cory

Cory,
Try www.motorsport-tech.com You want to purchase hub-centric/wheel centric spacers. You will need to install longer wheel studs if installing 5/8" spacers.
i wasnt planning on skimping on the price i was just trying to find out what the right price was, any suggestions on extended studs would be great
ARP Studs 100-7708 1/2" longer. Summit Racing has them in stock. Installed mine a couple weeks ago. Good bit of work but not too bad with an air gun. Can't imagine doing it all by hand.
I got a set of spacers from a forum member for 75 bucks that are hub and wheel centric. I forget the exact thickness as they are metric but approx 1/2". Don't know who made them but they work great. He said he got them from someone who actually had them made for a C6.
One note on the studs. Once you have the hub seperated, the old studs easily tap out with a hammer. The new ones will draw in with a lug nut and washer. You need a regular acorn type nut turned backwards with a flat washer underneath and some lube. I took them to the machine shop to have them pressed and the guy said that's how they do em. So I figured I may as well DIY. Again, the air gun was priceless.
I don't scrimp either but I'm all for saving money. I have no choice.
I see you have the t2 widebody, which is what I need these spacers for. I went with the inch longer Studs, am I gonna need to trim these to fit too?

I agree with Stalion, probably not. I purchased used custom wheels that have c6z offsets. The lug holes on the wheels are slightly deeper than most wheels. I installed 21mm spacers, about 7/8", to get proper fit in the wheel well. I only purchased the longer studs;3-1/4" to give myself wiggle room because i wasn't sure quite how long I needed the studs to be. Turns out after trimming them 3" would have worked fine.
You are going with a spacer that is about 1/4" thinner than mine. You will be close.
