Ok, so I bought a 04 Z06 CE with 3800 miles on it and I’m new to the corvette world. So my question is: What would be the best bang for the buck in doing a full H/C/I, full exhaust, and supporting items (timing chain, pushrods etc..) or an A&A supercharger kit. My goal would be to have a little more power with stock like drive ability and reliability. Please give me your opinions as to what you think is best and why.
Thanks for the responses. When I say a little more power I was thinking around 420-440rwhp is N/A and 500-525 S/C. I was just wanting to know what would have better driveability and be some what realible also.
if your lookin for low 4XX's in power than you can cam the car and reach that goal. The parts you decide to go with along with the tune will decide on how reliable it will be.
I have a 04 CE ZO6 as well (6900 miles now), that I purchased with 2800 miles. I added a Halltech Stinger intake, and ceramic coated 1 7/8" AR Long tube headers with the catted X pipe. With a dyno tune it put down 386/372 to the tires.
Agree with the above, if you are looking for low 400s, most likely will need to add a more aggressive cam.

It has great driveability (it's my DD in Los Angeles) and should also be reliable. You can even go a little bigger than this without sacrificing much driveability. When I have my heads ported, I'm hoping to reach the vicinity of ~450 hp.
Remember, if you decide to get supercharged, a new clutch is an absolute must.

I agree... and since you did that awesome broken valve spring lay out thread, it might be a good idea for him to change the valve springs for which ever road he takes.

hell a clutch is in order damn near after headers and tune.....its MUST during a cam swap. Youd be lucky if it survives the dyno tune
Congrats on the CE. I have #2020. Head over to www.z16.org and register as the new owner of yours. It isn't really an active site per se, but still a place to visit.

Reason: I have 2020, not 2025.
Congratulations on the Z16 purchase.
I have a Paxton2000 from ECS on my CE and love the power
and the stock like drivability. But the light build suggested by
95tturbo is a lot of fun as well. Also, search user name Toque
for a very well thought out heads/cam setup that puts out great
power across the band and excellent street manners.
Good luck and have fun with her,
Wayne
