If im spending a TON on the intake, why should the consumer have to finish it.??
"I will sell you a burger, but its raw- it will be good after its cooked"
I have seen that the 92 is plenty, but the 102 shines with bigger cubes...
It was definitely pricey but its cool, i enjoy the work myself

Its MAF still
dude, is the stuff in the car yet? i am itching too see results....
Believe me i am too, just been a headache with getting some parts in then getting the wrong items but everything is disassembled and it will be on friday or saturday, took me and my bro maybe 20min to get everything off and shouldnt be hard to install. ill take some pics if you want but wont be many as it should be straight forward. Let me know if you want any specific pics.

some pics behind the firewall too see how much clearance it has.... thanks
My F-body is all done and I made a LOT more power with it.
But now that FAST has released the 92mm again...in black, even. I may just go that route on my C5.
I got it on friday, it would not fit at all just putting it on the car. We did very minimal grinding on the cowl but was still to tight so we used the washer idea off of this link http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...102-on-c5.html
and it worked great(thanks for that link). I have a lift at my house so it was not hard to get under the car and do it so depending if you want to do that and buy a 102 or just get the 92 will be your choice. Ill take some pics later when i get some time so you can see the clearance. Missing the throttle body seal so i have not started grinding the water pump but will get it done this weekend and take pics before and after. Install was not too bad after we figured out what to do. Vararam took awhile to install to but its also basically done. Any more questions or anything just let me know and ill also keep you updated when the car is tuned and see the difference in power and torque.
Hinson Motorsports makes motor mounts specifically for this application that are shorter than stock. I had my cradle shimmed previously to allow for clearance, but the shorter Hinson mounts make for a much cleaner solution. They also do a great job with engine movement and do not transmit much more vibration than stock.

dam sucks to hear you had to shim the cradle, i would not do that but to each their own, its all good if you are happy with it... goodluck, now lets hear those numbers...

Thanks for the advice, I would agree this is probably the best option. Just curious, why did you switch to the motor mounts(for the better solution?) and was it much harder to switch the motor mounts?

Yea it wont my ideal plan to shim the cradle but wasnt much options less and it should work fine still. Thanks and im ready for the #s also.
The Hinson is the best route to go so i dont blame you, good luck when it comes down for you to do the install.

I switched for the added engine control and handling benefits of firmer motor mounts. The fact that I could ditch the cradle shimming was a factor as well.
They were sort of a pain, if you have long tubes, you may have to disconnect them to make room for feeding through the ride side mount. Very much worth the effort however, throttle response and handling have both improved with this mod.
