getting the car paint freshed and installing black stripe and painting lower rear fasia. All matte black. Have found led's that are black and also looking at smoked tailights.
The tinted LEDs do look great, but be careful, they are illegal in Texas. LEO will pull you over for lack of reflectorization in the rear. You might not pass inspection with them either.
I love the look of tinted tails and other black out mods, however since my Vette already draws enough attention I don't want to give a LEO an easy reason to pull me over.
I stuck with the regular LED halos and corner LEDs.
Had tinted tail-lights on my C6 (car came with them) and kinda liked the look but didn't like the unwanted attention. I got pulled over twice for them...

Tinted only. I was following a fellow Vette owner in our club and his were tinted and I couldn't see his brake lights during the day.
Ask yourself 2 questions.
1. Do you feel safe with tinted lights?
2. What do you like better?

Car is mad red and looking for opinions.
Im local and I can tint them for you easily. Let me know via pm.
You are correct I got stopped 3 times in a week by the same LEO, so I went back to the stock tail lights. The same LEO saw me a few days after I changed them and he came up to the car and started reading me the riot act about illegal tail light tint, I had to take him back and show him that they were the stock lights with the DOT stamp, apparently he just assumed that I still running the tinted lights, he went stomping back to his motorcycle and left. Hasn't messed with me since.

Unfortunately that's one of the disadvantages of living in a smaller town; if some local Dudley Do-Right gives a warning and it's disregarded or forgotten about, he's more likely to make a "project" out of you than some guy working in a big city that likely you'll never cross paths with again, especially if he's a solo, because those guys are only bout half-baked to start with.

Then about 2 months later he started on me about no front plate. I put it on the same day and haven't been stopped by him in awhile now and I do see him quite often to. Plano is not really a small town, I think they have 1 cop for every 5 citizens. I think Plano is in the top ten safest cities in the US.
Navybluevette, just FYI. It's not illegal in Texas to not have a front license plate anymore. When congress was in session this last time when they made changes somehow the front license plate law was left out. Meaning for now it is not a law, which means they can't use it as PC for a traffic stop, and no tix can be issued. I am 100% sure about this because I am a Traffic LEO over here by Ft.Worth.

Tinted taillights look good, but personally I want all the light I can get on the back end of the car to ensure those following me can see the car. If it were me, I'd get the LED Halos without the tint.

I'm with Jack on this one and that's what I'm saving up for.
