I'm still pretty new to this Corvette fraternity but I've only missed one or two waves so far. But, I could hardly believe it when I got a vigorous wave from the driver of a new Aston Martin DB. A 9 I think but not sure of the the number but it's one of those new slinky sexy ones. I almost put an eye out getting my own wave going.
The "wave" is not just a Corvette tradition. I've been waving for almost 50 years. Bikers, rodders, other sports cars etc. often wave, even to Corvettes. It's more of an "I get your ride" concept than an exclusive Vettes only thing..

Back in the sixities the 'Wave' was a great addition to the alure of owning a Corvette. But if the present day leaders at the EPA, we'll be waving from transit buses pretty damn soon !

I always got waves from other Harley riders.
Honda and other Asian bike riders would just hang their heads or look the other direction....
even worse, i catch myself waving at other LEOs (patrol cars) while i'm driving my Vette...some know me, some don't so i know they are like "why?"
yesterday, the "wave" worked...i was out cruising with my old Stang crew and spotted a Grand Sport, gave him a wave and he joined in...great time for the next 6hrs!

On my recent trip to the Black hills I had a Harley rider give me a thumbs up.........I gave him one back. We both had great rides for seeing the Black Hills.
I missed one today mistaking a c4 for a trans am and saw the guy wave while passing him... Felt like a dick lol.
A long while back I waved at a FD3S rx7 it was the first I'd ever seen in person and honestly thought it was a C5. I was considering an rx7 until I realized all the better things of a c5 but rx7s are awesome cause of the rarity.
