whats up guys! so im planning on tinting my windows but i still dont know what i want either light tint or dark. Out of curiousity and own opinions what looks best??
I think 20% all around is the best. Looks great blocks alot of light but is still possible to see backing up at night.
Not a big fan of 2 different shades on a car either.
So vote is 20%
Every car I have owned since the late 90's has had 20% all around.

Depends, being an old fogey I run a 37 on all my cars
My mid 20's kids like the 25 or darker
Keep in mind that in CA it is illegal to do any tinting on the front side windows other than what came on the OEM.
Usually a no Front Plate Ticket will get you a trip to the tint shop for removal and then a trip to the station to pay some $$ and get all signed of so your next stop does not result in an overnight stay with Bubba.
I went with 15% all the way around and love it. Keeps prying eyes out during the day but not too dark where you can't see out at night. Plus it also helps to keep the inside temp down a little more.
It's worth pointing out too that the quality of the tint has a great deal to do with both light transmission and heat transmission as well as clairity.
Thanks for all the help and support guys!.. I finally got her done and decided to go with 35%.. its a little light for my own taste but I went the safe route.. last thing I want is to attract more attention and get a ticket.. thanks again z06 family!

That's one of the things I find so out of place when I'm in Cali. Over here on the EC tint is very common, especially on cars that you can tell people put some $ into. Over in Cali, I see so many badass rides without tinted front windows and it ruins the look IMO.
OP glad you went with what makes you happy. Post up some pics.
I agree w/ 'Scooter70', I have the same exact car and color, and I decided on the legal 35% on the doors and 20% on the rear hatch. When I first brought my car home I had the same dilemma, but I'm more than happy w/ the choice, considering the inside is the size it is, the 35% actually seems a bit darker, it's perfect. Plus, legal, one less thing for the local police to notice. Good luck!
I just picked up my Z 2 weeks ago and the owner had 5% tint on the back and the sides, I love the way it looks but does get hard to see at night thru the sides, and I usually roll with the windows down in the day, VA cops dont like dark tint. Oh and my brother is in the car in this pictures, just so you can see how dark it is lol
Did the same as Scooter just over a month ago to my MY '04 Z.....Carbon Tint, 35% Windows, 20% rear. Inside is cooler, much harder to see inside, yet visibility is great looking out. (One of my Son's has a car with Limo 5% tint and I hate it, cannot see out well enough at night) Being a Yellow car helps it look even darker.
I like 20 for the sides and back and 50 for the windshield (illegal in 50 states). The 50 windshield looks darker than it is because of the sides and rear. I like it because it's more uniform.
