Do C5 guys paint their halos?
When I had a C5 I never saw anyone on the forum talk about painting the halos. I have never seen any C5s with painted haols. It seems to be a popular thing with C6 forum members. Painted halo with tinted windoes gives the car a wicked awesome look. I actually wish I had done that to my C5 and one of my C4s.

I don't see it often.
I would like to see a real CF one made. That would be great for me and my CF splitter/side skirts.

I had mine painted at Jimmy Johnson Chevy in San Diego. $239. They did a good job. The stripes are also painted on. Jimmy Johnson auto body did it. Striping is under clear coat. They did a good job. No decals for me.

I saw a red C5 at a car show... that the license plate was "1 RARE C5"
there was something different about it... but I couldn't narrow it down. Talked to the owner, and he pointed to the painted halo.
He said his C5 was a pre-production model - that Chevrolet experimented with the idea of a painted halo on the C5. He claimed the consensus was "it looked too much like the Camaro"; so they never went further with it.

i did, probably the best decision i made when having my car painted
but i had him add some gold flake to the halo for extra pop, kinda like a side blade on an audi r8, or at least that was my thinking...
