Default Advice on setup please!!

I have basic bolt ons in my 01 Z now and im going to be purchasing a cam soon. The cam is a custom grind cam from Advanced Induction. The specs are 234/242 600/600 112 lsa. I also will be purchasing a fast 102. My question is will the fast 102 bolt right up with no problems and will the fast 102 work fine with the vararam. My power goals are 430-440. Here in AZ it may be a little less.

Thanks for the input in advance!

I'm not positive but I believe the cowl has some issues with a 102 on a c5? Someone chime in and tell me if I am wrong ?

fast 102 may not fit too tight

the 234/242 600/600 cam may not be a good choice for stock 243 heads.

Too big of a cam. too much lift

some TF heads yes, but not the 243 stock heads.

I have a custom grind in my LS1 F-body that is 235/241 598/609 on a 112lsa. Comp XER lobes.

The cam sounds NASTY, I could only imagine what it would sound like in my Z0 with LT's and stock Ti exhaust.

On the stock intake with a ported TB and Hooker LT's and a 3" Y-pipe and stock CB, 3.73's, M6 Car. I made 430rwhp.
I then swapped out to a FAST 102 and TS 96mm TB and a E-cutout.

On the stock intake the car was a TURD down low. The cam doesn't come in till about 3k RPM's and seemed to be chocked off about 6k.
After I swapped out to a PORTED FAST 102, the car just WOKE up. I can't believe how much more fun the car is to drive after adding the 102. I made 400ftlb of TQ at 2500rpm. That's unheard of in an LS1. Oh, all of this is through a pair of 241's!!!!!

A couple of things you should know. With the aggressive cam I had to swap out lifters. I installed Comp OE lifter, hardened pushrods, and a dual valve spring good to .650 lift from AFR w/titanium retainers. The car is dead reliable and starts right up. Runs good. Has good low in grunt right off idle. Very little cam surge.

I don't have any experience with the FAST 92mm that was just released, but that may be an alternative to the 102 if it doesn't fit under the hood.
