If it's in good shape and needs nothing, yes, I think it's fair price. You're certainly not getting a steal, but you're not getting ripped off either. I'd offer $1,000 less than asking price. Good luck!

Nice car, and looks well taken care of, but one option that I would want that is not on the car is active handling. However, if you can live without it, the price is OK.
Do NOT pay full asking price. As mentioned offer 1000-1500 less. If the dealer knows you're serious they will sell. When I bought my car from a dealer they listed it for 24k, I ended up paying 22,750.
j/k... I live within walking distance of that place and they have several Vettes right now, I've been eyeing that one as well as the '04 Z06 (no way am I worthy of owning that car). Trouble is, I have no garage and only room for 2 cars in the driveway/carport, no space for a third.
The price seems reasonable for a dealer. See if you can negotiate it down a little to get a better deal.
They have a '99 pewter coupe as well, about the same mileage, a few hundred cheaper, doesn't have the glass roof but they put brand new tires on it. The '00 has nicer wheels.
If you want it, buy it! Save me from making a $17k mistake!
Car looks good and the starting price seems fair. I bought a 2000 coupe last fall (no 6 speed though) priced the same and drove away with it at $16,000. One small item you need to get cleared up is the VIN number, it seems to have one too many digits in it. It could lead to problems later if you try to sell it or (Heaven forbid) you are involved in an accident. Good luck and enjoy it if you do decide to make her your own.

The VIN is 17 digits like it should be. It checks out on carfax (there is a free carfax link at the bottom of the page).
kpatz, why would you be making a $17k mistake... already have too many cars?
The car is on consignment (as is everything at this dealer) so I don't know if or how much the price is negotiable. Any experience here? I suppose the owner has a minimum price in mind and the dealer acts as a middle-man (for a cut of the final price).
Oh and I forgot... the exhaust doesn't have chrome tips or the rear Corvette emblem between the pipes. Do some folks like the look without them? On Ebay I'm seeing about $50 for the tips but can't find a rear emblem and chrome back plate. I'd be happy with just the tips and no emblem though... is $50 reasonable?
