Painted steering wheel emblem.
I did have one of those decals and it looked really tacky, even on the black OEM wheel. So I decided to try and actually paint the Steering wheel emblem and thought it will turn out much better. Yes I will let it dry overnight and retouch up the black lines better. I'm gonna love it!

I don't have a steady enough hand to ever be able to do that. You did a good job.

What kind of paint did you use? I think that I'll give it a shot on mine. I just hate those tacky decals.

That looks really good - I don't think I have that steady of a hand to make the lines that crisp.

Well, I'm not perfect as you can see, but it's a big improvement over that decal I had.

For once it's a good thing I'm color blind.
I like the painted emblem though, looks good.

Looks great! I wish I had a steady hand and a pinch of artistic talent to pull that off.
Maybe tomorrow morning, I'll drink a few Starbucks lattes and give it a try...

Looks good. What did you use to clean the bag with prior to painting. I thought of trying this too but don't know what to use to clean it off if I screw it up. I have to chance it now.

SEM Soap, then SEM Vinyl Prep, and SEM leather prep around the wheel.
You won't screw it up if you take your time. Practice on something and learn how the paint flows out of the paint pen BEFORE you jump on the emblem. It's really pretty easy IF you TAKE YOUR TIME!
P.S. disconnect the battery.
