Has anyone had any luck using one of the online financing companies? I have heard that some of them charge a fee to the dealership when they accept the check and some dealers than try and charge it back to the buyer? I believe Auto Trader is affliated with Road Loans who does charge a hefty fee to the dealership. Would appreciate if anyob=ne has any suggestions and recommendations with the on-line loan services.
I used LightStream for mine. Was very easy. I had money in my bank account in 24 hours of applying. It was even an unsecured loan so I didn’t have to deal with liens. They like really good credit scores but it was a piece of cake.

Same here. With a high credit score the interest rate was incomparable, The easiest loan deal I ever made.
if you can get a car loan or a personal loan to purchase a car for less then 3% interest and you invest that $15K to $20K in today’s stock market your return on the the investment will far outpace the interest you pay on the loan.....
I used Lightstream initially when I purchased mine. It was as good as cash for the deal as you get the money in your account. I ended up refinancing later with Penfed for a slightly better interest rate.

Used them twice now. Agree-strong FICO will get a great apr on a personal unsecured loan (lien free). Division of Suntrust Bank.

Why no mention of risk?
People borrow money because they cannot afford their want, not because they are taking the cash and investing it.
Borrowing money for car is really a stupid thing to do financially.
