That car has the Commemorative Edition package on it (Option Code 1SC). The package was offered to honor the success of the Corvette C5R racer and to close out the last year of the C5 generation of cars. All commemorative editions had LeMans Blue exterior paint, crossed-flag embroidery on seat headrests, unique commemorative road wheel centers, and silver front and rear emblems with inserts to recall Corvette's success at LeMans with the words "Commemorative 24:00 Heures Du Mans 2 GTS Wins."
Commemorative verts had silver crossed flag commemorative emblems on their between-seatback "waterfall" panels. Coupes and convertible Commemorative Edition cars had "Commemorative" stitched into their seatbacks.
The 1SC coupe and convertible equipment group included 1SB equipment plus Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Commemorative Edition LeMans blue exterior paint and trim, shale interior, and polished (QF5) wheels.
Commemorative Editions had shale interiors which blended a lighter value of ray-beige for seats and carpeting with a darker gray-beige for console, instrument panel and upper door panels. This interior was similar, but not identical, to that included with 2003's Anniversary model.
The Commemorative Edition package retailed for $3700 and 2,659 CE verts were made. (2215 coupes and 2025 Z06 CEs were made also).

I have the 04 Commemorative vert. It really is a beauty. Gets tons of looks where ever she goes!! If it's a low mileage car and the price is right I would go for it!

They're great cars and fun to drive. The biggest surprise is that there's more to the 2004 LeMans Commemorative than racing strips, embroidered seats, and a carbon fiber hood in this Hib Halverson six page review you'll find out more than you ever wanted to know. This article among several others is why I set my sights on the commemorative model. Corvette engineers went to a lot of trouble to get the suspension just right on the LeMans Commemorative, including lots of testing at the Ring. Riding around Nurburgring in the Ring Taxi is still on my bucket list.

Interesting. As I mentioned, the info I put together was from the Corvette Black Book - which stated the 1SC package had those shocks. But a check with the '04 sales brochure confirmed that the shocks were not a part of the package. Apparently the Corvette Black Book has some printing errors in it. Sorry for the misinformation on that part of the 1SC package.

Excellent thread! Thanks for posting it. I just tried the suggestion about pushing in the clutch when shutting off the engine and it totally eliminates the rattle when shutting down the engine. Thanks again.
Add mine to the list of the ones without Magnetic shocks.
The interior is what sold me on the one I have. Being a 'vert, I thought it would be cool to not have any black inside at all but, now, having to put up with the glare off the dash on sunny days almost makes me wish it was black. I guess having the HUD windshield makes it worse.
