Trying to install my GM bra and it has 3 snap buttons that goes in the tire well. Can someone please tell me where the top one goes? I only have 3 screws that can be changed out to the snap buttons but one of them has a black tab pice to it and I don't see where that one goes. What is the fix for that……HELPPPPP! Thanks guys and gals.

Figured it out….nice investment. Fits like a glove!

I recently bought a GM bra for my C6 -- put it on for a 2k mile trip and sure enough, 200 miles out, I could not avoid a big truck tire tread in the road. Sounded awful on impact but the bra completly prevented any damage....was More than worth its price just for that one incident.
(note I got one on the parts for sale forum for $50)

I have been considering using clear Plasti-Dip for a clear bra. Any thoughts?

It won't protect anywhere near as well as a bra, and you'd be lucky if it would protect at all from rocks thrown at the front end at 70 mph.

I took a long trip..and after a good wax i used BLUE TAPE...

On the mirrors, and the bottom of all fenders...it looked bad... but honestly i just peeled and it was great under neath...*note it will help..but tape or a bra wont help against a larger piece of debree...

I disagree. So does this poster....

Over the years I've had many incidents where large chunks of road trash have hit the nose of my cars hard enough to cut large slices into the bras protecting them, or bounced off of them hard enough that I could hear it inside the cabin with the radio on. So far not one of them has been damaged.

Tape won't protect against anything but minor rock chips. A good bra will protect against just about anything thrown at it.

A GM bra will give you the best protection for your front end.

Not sure where you live but my everyday driving entails speeds of up to 75mph as you have to take Interstate just about everywhere you go. Plus one thing you guys dont ever think about is if you are going 40mph on a two way road and a car comes past you they are kicking up rocks as well... and rocks do not bounce straight nor do the stay in the other lane. Rocks also come up of your front tie and get throan down the side of your car... if you drive a Z06, Grand Sport, or Zr1 you will get rock chips at 30mph on your rear quarter panels. Bottom line is you will get damage just as much in your daily driving as taking a trip across the country.

Does GM offer matching side mirror covers? I know Speed Lingerie does.

No they do not. But I got a set of covers from MAM and they do the job they're intended for quite well.

They fit pretty nice and they match the bra well, but they're not as snug as GM's bra. The only thing I dislike about them is the way they fit around the viewing part of the mirror. They do not obstruct the view, but they have an internal elastic band that leaves the perimeter looking a little bunched up. It's just a small cosmetic thing, but I tend to be a little OCD.

I'm a fan of Speedlingerie which can be made to match the exterior of the C5. Well worth the investment IMO.

I agree that they are pretty, but they are 5X the price of the GM bra! I vote for the GM Bra.

I've also got a long (2,700 mile) trip coming up next month so I'm looking at the GM bra. I see that both East Coast Corvettes & West Coast Corvettes have it for $100 with free shipping.
I have a question for those with experience with this item. Someone wrote a review on this item on the West Coast page and stated that to install the hardware that the bra snaps into that the front wheels must be removed from the car? Can anyone here confirm that statement one way or the other?
Thanks!

Negative! Check your local Chevrolet dealership to see if they offer a military discount. Mine did. They ordered the bra and I had it in 1 day for $90.

You DO NOT have to remove the wheels. You simply have to turn the wheels to the left and right when working on the right and left sides, respectively.

Also if you do your homework and find a better price, WCC will honor that price with their price match guarantee. Ask me how I know.
