I just bought a 98 painted medium pearl purple metallic it has both the painted and smoked tops and light oak interior .I know that there were 381 painted that color but where can I find out how many were sold with both tops / light oak interior and the purple paint combination.
Doubt you will be able to find a really accurate number, but congrats on getting a really rare color - IMO it is a pretty nice color.
GM doesn't keep that level of how many combinations of options. You can get an estimate by multiplying the 2 percentages together: 229/31084 X 5640/31084 = 0.007367 X 0.1814 = 0.0013367.
Which says there are probably 41 others (0.0013367 X 31084).
The 229 is how many coupes made of that color. The 5640 is the total number of dual roofs sold. The 31084 is the total number of C5 built for MY 98.
That doesn't include the count of the light oak interior.
Congratulations!
I have the same coupe. The tan interior is more common in this color. I have the black/pewter interior in mine. Mine also came new with the painted & plexi top. It was an option for both tops.

There were 45 med purple/ light oak coupes in 1998. 35 were autos and 10 were manuals. There were 69 verts in med purple and oak int, with 4 autos and 0 manual having black tops, 48 autos and 15 manuals with oak top, and 1 auto and 1 manual with white top. Can't help with the targa roof numbers though.
